Fingers crossed!
/We're looking forward to seeing the pups from this good-looking pair. One of which we'll train on as a Farlavale gundog! Several mating's' took place over 4 days, so fingers crossed. Due 1st July.
‘I am absolutely thrilled to have been added to the Kennel Club A Panel of Field Trial Judges for Spaniels. I would like to thank all the many Gundog Societies for whom I have had the pleasure of judging, initially as a non-panel judge and then as a B Panel judge over more recent years; I am also immensely grateful to the seasoned A panel judges who have guided me.
I look forward to many future years of Field Trial judging and being able to give a little something back to the sport.’

Broadmeafarm Charlie has now been health tested for prcd-PRA Progressive Retinal Atrophy. He is a non-carrier, tested clear. As a result he will not pass on this defective gene to his progeny.
A fabulous day at Chatsworth House despite the atrocious weather! The young handlers were thrown in with the 34 Novice entries and had to compete on the same level, with the same test elements.
From the 34 running, only 8 went through to the second round and were judged on a second run.
Lily took Charlie to a well deserved win. It was her first working test and I could visibly see just how nervous she was, but she kept her cool and pulled off a tidy retrieve on he second run, even though dog and handler had failed to mark the dummy! All good experience. A great thanks to Jean Gledhill for putting on a super day.
Well done to all.
